Evaluation
Comprehensive evaluation (60 minutes) is important for those with issues or complaints concerning voice, speech, or swallowing, in particular, if issues persist for more than 2-3 weeks or reoccur with some regularity. Multi-dimensional testing will evaluate a client’s skills, and evaluation findings may be compared to others (via norm and criterion-referenced tests). Specific areas of evaluation are based on screening results and expressed concerns. We require a completed intake form as well as previous evaluations (otolaryngological, audiological, psychological, etc.).
If an evaluation has been completed within the last 6 months, information from these documents can be used to develop a Plan of Care with The Wellness Group for Voice, Speech, and Swallowing, LLC. The need for additional standardized assessments may not be necessary, and is determined on a case by case basis.
